The White Company have indicated they wish to join the Fashion Retail Club. More than that, Ann Perks of The White Company and has accepted an invitation to join the Advisory Board. This further increases the expertise available to Club Members


River Island have already become the first Full Corporate Member of The Fashion Retail Club paying a subscription of £5000 p.a.inclusive of sponsorship.

Lorraine Harper, the Executive Advisor to the Club and its Honorary President said, " We are delighted at this declaration of growing confidence in us. We are hoping it will both set an example to other major companies and at the same time reinforce the value of the Club to its Corporate Members as well as students and graduates. Once it becomes fully active with a comprehensive web profiling service of Full Corporate Members, fashion related Students and Graduates from across the UK, it will be of great value to all of them to interact.

The planning for the website is in its final stages, before it is built and launched in October 2010. The next major event is planned for November. This will follow the Audience with Barbara Hulanicki the Founder of BIBA held last March.

The first UK Fashion Retail Club, hosted by the University of Westminster, bridges the gap between academia and the real world of Fashion Retail It connects fashion students with fashion graduates by helping them engage in more contact with the Retail Industry to improve their employability and networking skills
